Nokia N900 Smartphone Performance Efficient Tune-Up Utilities

Introduction

This collection of scripts efficiently enhance the Nokia N900 smartphone by optimizing the Linux kernel virtual memory system, network stack and the network card and also this collection of scripts include a traffic-shapping script to stop potentially dangerous network packets ( "firewall" ) by using the Linux Iptables kernel module and shapes the network traffic by using the Linux Iproute kernel module and such minimize the network traffic overhead in your intranet. This script can be considered as aggressive performance efficient optimization of your device.

This script can also use a 2nd swap partition on the SD-Card to offload swapping of the device.

Installation-Guide

1. Installation

  • Download the application from official Ovi-Store
  • Press the Tune-Up-Button in the application homescreen menu
  • Press the Install-Libs-Button in the application main window
  • Press the Partition SD-Card-Button in the application main window (format and delete the entire memory card, partition a 2nd swap for Tune-Up utilities)
  • If succesful then restart (i.e. reboot) the device





2. Remove

  • Press the Tune-Up-Button in the application homescreen menu
  • Press the Uninstall-Button in the application Tune-Up main window
  • If succesful then restart (i.e. reboot) the device
