Howto EMUBOX CCcam Windows complete install

12:18 AM |

I wrote this little manual, because i ´ve seen many half-needfull manuals and hope, that´s a little bit better. With this installation you did ´nt need a extra linux machine for pc sat-tv.
My PC for this installation was a 2.6GHz P4 with 768MB ram. The TV-card is a skystar 2 with DVBdream and the PC-OS is windows xp pro.
First of all you´ll have 2 go to download.microsoft.com/download/6/0/f/60fc5854-3cb8-4892-b6db-bd4f42510f28/dotnetfx35.exe and install the net framework 3.5 full package. (i use it too) Then you need the installer of "andlinux".
You can load it via andlinux.org/, or direct under the following address: downloads.sourceforge.net/andlinux/andlinux-beta2-minimal.exe
Also you need the latest emubox plugin, which you can find here: sat-television.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=98057&d=1235177836
You need the CCcam binaries, which you can download 4 xample from here: rapidshare.com/files/170913346/cccam2.0.11.zip ,then you should have all needed files on disc.
4 this installation you´ll need 2GB diskspace.
Before you start this installation, deactivate your firewall. You can activate it again , if you ´re ready and can give the TAP-COlinux network adapter free.

1. After starting the andLinux-setup.exe and clicking "next" you have to accept the software license and click on "next" again.

2. Select now the Destination Location and click on "next".

3. In this window called "andLinux Configuration Kernal" i choose the 2´nd option.
It´s the development snapshot version. Then click on the "next" button again.

4. Here in "andLinux Configuration Memory Size" you can allocate the RAM-memory size 4 your subsystem. I choosed the standard-setting of 192MB. Then push the "Next" button again.

5. We´re now under "andLinux Configuration X Server" where i leave the defaults. Hit the "Next" button again.

6. Welcome to the "andLinux Configuration Sound" page and select what you want and dont forget to click on "Next" after.

7. Let´s come 2 the "andLinux Configuration Startup Type + Panel" page and choose the last option called "run andLinux automatically as a NT service + use Windows shortcuts". Click on "Next" again.

8. Now it´s going real private, so choose under "andLinux Configuration andLinux Login" your user and pass. May b you can imagine, which button you ´ve 2 hit as the "Next".

9. Under "andLinux Configuration Windows File Access" i choose the 2´nd option called "using CoFS" because it´s simple and dont forget 2 hit on "Next" again.

10. Now under "andLinux Configuration File Access Using CoFS" you can choose a drive or folder for xchange between windows and your new subsystem. I´ve created a folder called "andLinux_xchange" on my d-drive.
You can also use a usb-stick 4 it. If it´s done click on "Next".

 11. Here in "Select Start Menu Folder" you can choose a programm-group or leave it as it is by clicking "Next".
12. Here in "Select Additional Tasks" i would leave the default settings and simply click on "Next" again.

13. Hit the "Install" button and sing a song.

14. Restart your machine with the "Finish" button and go on if you´re ready again.

15. Look into your Taskbar 4 the ying and yang symbol of andLinux and start Thunar by right click on it. May b, it comas with a error like "cannot connect to 192.168.11.150 port blah" if you want 2 start too earlie. If it´s so, just wait a few minutes and try again.
It need´s a while 2 start, so don´t get crazy.
If it´s up, you´ll see a "File Manager" window with your username and a folder called "windows" at the right.
This is the xchange folder which you ´ve created during the installation of andLinux.

16. Under the windows explorer you can copy your cccam and emubox folders in your xchange folder.

17. Go to the taskbar of windowsxp and right click on the andLinux (ying & yang) symbol to launch the "terminal" of andLinux.

18. Enter or copy the following commands:

cd /var
sudo mkdir /var/bin

19. Press enter.

20. Enter your password which you´ve created during the installation of andLinux.

21. Enter or copy the following commands:

sudo mkdir /var/etc

22. Press enter.

23. Enter your password which you´ve created during the installation of andLinux.

24. Enter or copy the following commands:

sudo chown /var/bin
sudo chown /var/etc

25. Press enter.

26. In the "File Manager" window navigate to the xchange folder called "windows".

27. Open the cccam2.0.11 folder and right click the file CCcam.x86 to select the "copy" option.

28. In "File Manager" click on the left side on "File System" and navigate on the right side to the folder /var/bin.

29. Right click in this folder to select the "paste" option.

30. Go back 2 the terminal window and enter or copy the following commands:

cd /var/bin
sudo chmod 755 CCcam.x86
31. Press enter.

32. In the "File Manager" window navigate to the xchange folder called "windows".

33. Open the cccam2.0.11 directory and right click the file CCcam.cfg to select the "copy" option.

34. In "File Manager" click on the left side on "File System" and navigate on the right side to the folder /var/etc.

35. Right click in this folder to select the "paste" option.

36. In the "File Manager" window navigate to the xchange folder called "windows".

37. Open the emubox/linux directory and press the keys "Strg A" at the same time followed by "Strg C".

38. In "File Manager" click on the left side on "File System" and navigate on the right side to the folder /var/bin.

39. Also right click in this folder to select the "paste" option too.

40. Go back 2 the terminal window and enter or copy the following commands:

sudo chmod 755 emubox_interceptor.so

41. Enter your password which you´ve created during the installation of andLinux.

42. Press enter.

43. Go back 2 the terminal window and enter or copy the following commands:

sudo chmod 755 run_background
sudo chmod 755 run_debug

44. Press enter again.

Now the hardest part is done and you should ´ve only a few steps 2 success.

45. In "File Manager" click on the left side on "File System" and navigate on the right side to the folder /var/etc.

46. Edit your CCcam.cfg with your c-line(s) by doubleclick the file.

47. Navigate on your windows xp disc to the emubox/windows directory and copy the files emubox_plugin.cfg and emubox_plugin.dll into the C:\dvbdream\Plugins\pip00 directory.

48. Go back into the terminal, where you still should be under /var/bin and enter or copy the following commands:

./run_debug

49. By pressing enter again your emubox cccam server should b starting with a lot of output in the terminal window.

50. You can now go back to windows xp and start DVBDREAM. You have now access to the world of CCcam-networx.

If you wanna stop your emubox-cccam server, you can do that by entering or copying the following commands into a 2´nd terminal window, which can b started in the terminal window pulldown menue with "File" at "open Tab" or "open Terminal":

pkill CCcam.x86

51. Press enter again.

U can enable start, stop and restart of emubox very comfortable with the following procedure.
